Techno DJ and Producer Solaris is back again pushing the
sounds to those in the world that need it most. These are
some of his favorite tracks that have pushed their way into
his mind this month. Always looking for a way to expand
your horizons, in the techno world, check out these tracks
and reviews.
Kik Records - Finnie - KIK002
It is always nice to hear something diffrent. I have a hard
time finding guitars that work in techno tracks. Other than
a Chris McCormak record this is the second. I have to say
while not banging it out like no tomorrow this groove has
a nice feel. Not to energetic and just the right amount
of spice to make the fremen nervous. Keep you ear tuned.
if you dont play it wait for me to be on the decks.
Punish - Mike Humphries - PUNISH023
Mike makes a style that gets the party started here. This
is slower and less banging than I am use to, but I do try
to be diverse... hard techno, straight techno, and a bit
of schranz to keep the diverity P.C. Dont think about going
anywhere without this track. This thing gets me into the
mood and mindset that I know no matter what I do that night,
i am up to no good. You should be thinking it too. Without
that why would you be out doing the things you do.
Incharge - Marco V - IC005
Something new and inspiring this way comes... I never am
failed to be impressed with the range techno can have. This
track just helps solidify my theories. Take a trance anthem,
cut it , blend it a bit (not to puree, but close) and put
a bit of attitude to it, and you will come out with this
wax. I caution you it is great for you show the trance heads
they aren't near as sexy as they think they might be.
More Punk Than Funk - Various -
MPTF003
Keep yourself at the edge of your seat, this one has potential
as well as a bit of flare for the eccentric taste. A great
driver here! Nice breakdowns, nonsensical commentary, and
then having me go on and on about it. If you listen to me,
then at least you can take these beats to the masses and
be seen as a visionary.
Maximum Minimum - Chris Liberator,
Ant & Mcaffer - MAXMIN48
I think that my last and best pick of the month is
deserved by this one. The electro cut Ant and Liberator
whipped out kicks enought to set a depth charge in those
synapses. If that wasn't enough. Mcaffer and Liberator come
out bangin' on the flip side. This wax will keep your ears
warm in the coming winter, until the next month's picks.
