Change is good. Always. So, with the New Year comes a little change
in the way the web site works, until we can do some upgrades. The only
real difference is where the links above go now. For more on that, visit
the "about" section and you'll see what I mean, or just explore a little.
The re-direction is fairly simple.
Mostly, the changes are because I want to move back
to our core. This web site has always been a photoZine before anything
else, even a photo-documentary in it's own way. That is where it started
anyhow.
So let's document. On New Year's Eve in Kansas City
at Midnight, DJ Alex Hall (pictured) took the decks at the Grand Emporium
and rocked a full house. Already wound up by local DJ Fool prior to
the midnight hour, the party just kept goin after Alex Hall, with
DJs Solaris & Steady.
Starting off innocently enough, with pizza and chips
and ... beverages ... while we got all the sound in place and whatnot.
Joe and I played some retro, along with special guest Chris Milbourn
from the Pitch. It was the perfect night overall, starting off light
and building into a really fabulous party all night.
This month was good for parties though. Maybe it's just Christmas,
but everything seemed to have the right vibe this month. Mazi started
off the month with a hot and sweaty night of dance at our 5th anniversary
party and a few weeks later at Christmas Massacre, there was much
of the same, and then just last weekend more... and it was good. I
am definitely looking forward to 2007 and send my thanks and appreciation
out to everyone that has helped over the last year! It has been hard
work, but we have had a lot of fun, eh?
i will see you on the dance floor... :P
