crossroads floozies

While the girls were out drooling over Tim McGraw, the guys were wandering the streets of downtown.  Collecting ourselves, we walked down to Kansas City Power &Light District to catch the free show they were doing,   Everclear was playing their Summerland Tour, along with Fuel, Toadies, and American Hi-Fi.  It seemed like a good choice, until we got there.  It was hot and no air was moving.  Fuel was on stage.  I vaguely recall a few of their songs, but overall they were not impressive enough to stick around long for.

After some discussion it was decided we would make the trek down to Crossroads and see if that was any better.  The Floozies were playing along with Break Science, Wick-it the Instigator, and Sunsquabi.  It was outside too, but that venue didn't have a huge canopy holding the hot air in, and the line up seemed a bit more interesting.  It turned out to be the right choice, and we get there early enough to catch the act just before The Floozies took stage.  It was still hot, but there was air moving around, so it wasn't too bad.  The crowd didn't seem to mind.  Most were there, dancing to the final beat.  It was a fantastic night of music and lasers.
